Monday May 6th, 2013 - The 75 member British Columbia Boys Choir invites you to come and celebrate Musical Monday on Monday May 6th with a FREE concert at The Port Theatre in Nanaimo from 5-6 p.m. (ticket required). The performance will feature members of the International Touring Choir and two Island Choirs. This will be their final public performance of an all day fundraising event called Walk-A-Song - where members ages 8-18 will walk and sing at a school, a senior's residence, the Harbourfront Library along their 10 km route and people pledge funds to raise funds for the Choir. Says Nanaimo Conductor, Patricia Plumley “Walking and singing are good for your heart & soul, and combining them is a great adventure for our boys and they are contributing to their Choir". Just Sing It! School Show Program
TheInternational Touring Choir will present two days of Just Sing It Schools shows on October 27, 2010 and February 16, 2011. If you would like to have the Choir at your school, please contact our office 1-888-909-8282.
Our Choir’s goal is to keep kids singing in local schools. The British Columbia Boys Choir has been presenting concerts in schools in British Columbia and beyond for the past decade through their Just Sing it! School Shows. The International Touring Choir present 45 minute shows that introduce students to the boys treble voice and the male voice when it changes. The Choir performs a variety of music from around the globe. The BC Boys Choir performs in schools with great music programs to encourage students to continue to sing and also in schools where the music teacher and administration is trying to grow their Choir program.
The Choir charges a fee to come and perform that assists with covering the costs associated with the performance.
In addition the BC Boys Choir will present 12 School Concerts on Vancouver Island February 23-26, 2011

The Choir performs a variety of repertoire from sacred to gospel, traditional Canadiana and songs from around the globe and takes everyone on a journey home.
