40th Anniversary Celebration
The British Columbia Boys Choir will celebrate with our 40th Anniversary concert on Sunday December 21, 2008 at 8 p.m. at St Patrick’s Catholic Church (13th & Main) in Vancouver. All BCBC Alumni with changed voices (Tenors & Basses) are invited to participate. One of the major factors in making this event a success is your participation. We really need to know by November 1 at the latest if you are going to sing with the Choir on Dec. 21!
Details for Alumni participating:
- Music will be sent by email.
- Alumni will be required to learn music prior to rehearsals.
- There will be three rehearsals: Sunday November 30 and Sunday December 14 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave, West Vancouver and dress rehearsal on Sunday December 21, 2008 2- 4 p.m. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
- Alumni coming into the city for this performance will not be able to attend rehearsals. However, we would ask all alumni that live in the region to attend at least one rehearsal on one of the Sunday nights and everyone must be at the dress rehearsal on Sunday afternoon.
- Please find a letter enclosed from Gerry that lists the repertoire.
- 8 p.m. Performance Dec. 21
- Dress: Tuxedo (black dress shows, black tie)
- The Choir is not charging a fee for alumni to participate, however we hope that you will purchase tickets: $22 Adults and $12. Students & Youth through the BCBC Office: 1-888-909-8282 (Tollfree). Seating will be general seating. (Form attached)
- Please invite your parent’s to attend our 40th Anniversary events - this is a time for them to see old friends. They are invited to attend dinner – please let us know if your parents are planning to attend dinner on Sunday Dec 21.
